Confusing Verbs

Confusing Verbs:

1. Make (बनाना) - creation of a physical object, an action/reaction, a sound/speech or food
My dad likes to make food (मेरे पिताजी को खाना बनाना पसंद है)

Do (करना) - jobs or activities with "anything" or "something" also indicates generic action.
I need to do housework (मुझे घर का काम करना है)

2. Refuse (इनकार करना) - to decline, to accept/give unwillingness
"I refuse to argue" (मैंने argue करने के लिए इंकार कर दिया)

Deny (ग़लत ठहराना) - declaring untruth, disagreement to withhold or disown something
Most deny that the sky is orange (अधिकतर लोग इस बात को गलत ठहराते हैं की आस्मां नारंगी रंग का है)

3. Say (कहना) - a verb usually used without an object
She knew what to say to her sister (उसे पता है उसे अपनी बहन को क्या कहना है)

Tell - Informs or instructs (का इस्तेमाल आदेश देने के लिए किया जाता है)
Tell your brother to make his bed (अपने भाई से कहो वह बिस्तर सही कर दे)

4. Stay - Stay is an informal verb (Stay का इस्तेमाल अनौपचारिक रूप से किया जाता है)
Don't stay out late (बहुत देर तक बहार नहीं रुकना)

Remain - Remain is used more in formal sense (Remain का इस्तेमाल औपचारिक रूप से किया जाता है)
Though the team lost, fans remain loyal (Team के हारने पर भी fans देशभक्त वफ़ादार रहे)

5. Sit - is a verb (बैठ जाना)
Mostly people prefer to sit why they eat

Seat - is a verb and noun (बैठने का आसन)
Please find a seat (कृपया बैठने की जगह ढूंढ लीजिये)

Seated - is a verb (बैठा हुआ)
Please wait to be seated (कृपया बैठने के लिए इंतेज़ार करें)

6. Shall - is used with first person pronouns (I and We) (Shall का इस्तेमाल I और we के साथ किया जाता है)
We shall take a walk (हमें walk पर चलना चाहिए)

Will - will is used with second and third person pronouns (You, he, she, it, they) Will का इस्तेमाल (You, he, she, it, they) के साथ किया जाता है.

He will go home when the movie is over.
